The following is summarized from an article in The Wilson Times.

Wilson Economic Development Council announced the sale of a shell building in the Wilson Corporate Park. Though it ultimately best fit the requirements for HandCraft Linen & Uniform Specialists with particular consideration to floor specs, this shell building, completed in 2017, led to at least three new companies locating to Wilson according to Wilson Economic Development Executive Director Jennifer Lantz. Lantz and Wilson County Properties Inc., a private nonprofit development corporation, used feedback regarding what corporations in the area are currently looking for in a property to design an optimal shell building.

HandCraft purchased this 97,000 square-foot building for $2.82 million and added a commitment of between $15 million and $16 million for upfit costs. The function of the Virginia-based company is to process linens and apparel for medical practices. Its current output from three facilities reaches across seven states providing for 50 hospitals and 800 medical practices.

HandCraft looks to open in October of 2020 hiring employees with a variety of skill levels and experience. Within the first two weeks, HandCraft plans to hire between 125 and 150 employees. Access Brie Handgraff's full story for The Wilson Times here.
