Hemp oil producer opens: Critically hosts tour for local officials
The following was summarized from an article in The Wilson Times.
Criticality kicked off its operation beginnings in Wilson with a tour for 115 officials. Attendees were shown around the company's high-tech facility used for extracting medicinal cannabinoid oil from hemp.
This opening comes following the legalization of growing and processing hemp by the Agriculture Improvement Act 2018. Local government officials including Mayor Rose attended the opening tour in support of new research initiatives as relates to agribusiness in Wilson and in North Carolina.
The 55,000 square-foot, state of the art facility will employ 18 full-time staff with plans to increase this number to 88 over five years. The company’s oil output will be sold in bold or used in Criticality’s own consumer products. Criticality CEO Brian Moyer is looking forward to working with local farmers in eastern North Carolina and surrounding states who are adding hemp to their crop rotations.
